If you saved King Wencen first, he will assist you in this battle. Search the southeastern room for a chest and the north one for the third Windemere Stone. Return to the center room and shoot across, fighting off a horde of Boggarts. The next room has a Windemere Stone visible from the entrance but everything has poisonous water.
You'll likely contract a disease and you will slowly take damage. The northern room has two chests. In the southern room you will find another chest and King Wencen. Speak with the King, then lead him back to the main area. He will unlock the magical barrier and give you the King's Token before he runs away. Approach the door and talk with the Maid of Windemere for the last time.

Also since there was evidence that she was affected by an enchanting crystal, I think the nicest thing to do was to kill her, there was a chance when she revived she wouldn't be under the crystals spell anymore.
It's hard to tell if you've been brought to the world as a fateless to change things, or if you've been brought to stop the change brought on by the Tuatha which relates to the maid also. User Info: Diggerman. I don't recall getting any special loot from her or anything. The sprites i dont mind, but that damn thresh was causing me major problems.
Didn't want to annoy them because I wanted to use the Fateweaver there. Looks like I made the right choice. She's actually one of the ones who doesn't hate you. You can still use her and the shops if you side with the Maid.
I know this because I sided with her by accident, and I didn't feel like fighting her again. Hmm so really no great change at all. User Info: PrinceOfHot. This game isn't really about big choices. The House of Ballads isn't really much of a faction quest. The main factions are the ones that give you a bonus point to your Might, Finesse, and Sorcery abilities.
Namely the Warsworn, the Travelers, and the Scholia Arcana. Out of those, the only one with a big choice to make really is the Warsworn, since if you choose what is arguably the better twist of fate card from that quest line, you turn the entire Warsworn faction hostile forever and can no longer use any of their services or do any of their quests. Although it doesn't seem to have any influence on the storyline, it only implies that something big will happen at a nondescript time in the future, which clearly does not happen during the timeline of the game.
Is there something about the way I type that makes it sound angry? Maybe it's just something about the way you read. User Info: Darkfyre. I hoped I could side with the Maid or Windemere, and luckily the game didn't disappoint in this respect. I mean, she was forced to play the villain and get defeated again and again by the Telling. If it were me I'd do anything to change that, so I can't blame her for doing what she did. Not to mention the guy who was supposed to defeat her according to the Telling only did it because he couldn't lose anyway.
The moment he wasn't sure he'd win he turned tail and ran.
